Working With Us — CabinetryCustom Furniture and Cabinet Design Form Follows Function: The Elements of Design With an eye on the surrounding architecture and the individual look, we develop the feel of the space. Is your dream space colorful and cheery, warm and toasty or light and airy? Is it to be old-world, transitional or contemporary? As the conceptual drawings begin to take shape, ideas regarding materials, finishes and details begin to emerge: the wood species and the type of finish; the hard surfaces (stone and tile); the floors and walls; the decorative ”jewelry” hardware; the fixtures and appliances; the accent colors and the accessories. Working together, we weave all these elements of design into a unique tapestry of materials and finishes that are then handcrafted with you in mind. We build our furniture and cabinets from premium-grade solid hardwoods, hardwood veneers and veneer plywood, and use traditional joinery techniques. We do not use melamine board or flake-board in our products. Each piece of wood is selected specifically for your product, and we concentrate on color matching and extensive grain matching. We are constantly developing and adding unique details to ensure that each cabinet or piece of furniture stands out as a custom, “built only for you” product. All cabinets and furniture are designed and built to fit your space, eliminating any unsightly fillers and/or unused spaces typical to the ready-made cabinet industry. LonoWood is involved throughout the entire process from conception and fabrication to installation and beyond, ensuring that even the smallest details are not overlooked. When you enter a LonoWood Art Company designed space, there is no doubt that it is a one-of-a-kind environment. LonoWood Art Company does not customize, LonoWood Art Company is custom. |
